Hi @engcountio ,

Thank you for sharing the screenshot and your v2.5.5 version details.

To resolve, could you please follow the below steps:

  1. Stage Only the Specific Files Before Generating (+):

    • When no files are staged, the commit generator sends all unstaged changes across the workspace in a single stream. In the Source Control panel, stage (+) only a small batch of source files (excluding large lockfiles like package-lock.json, build folders, or binary assets) and click Generate Commit Message again.
  2. Reset the Language Server HTTP/2 Stream Pool:

    • Press Ctrl + Shift + P, run Developer: Reload Window, and if you are routing through a VPN or proxy, set http.proxySupport to off (or override) in Settings (Ctrl + ,) so the HTTP/2 connection is not multiplexed through an intermediate proxy.
  3. Wait 60 Seconds Before Retrying:

    • Because NGHTTP2_ENHANCE_YOUR_CALM is a temporary HTTP/2 stream cooldown signal, waiting ~60 seconds after staging your specific files will allow the commit message generator to succeed.

Please let us know if staging specific files and reloading the window resolves the error.
