Inconvenience in Copying Raw LaTeX Source&Cannot Submit "Edit and rerun this turn" via Keyboard (Tab + Enter) (Bug / Usability Issue)

Hi Google AI Studio team,

I would like to submit feedback regarding two UI/UX friction points in the Google AI Studio web interface that interrupt fluent developer workflows:

1. Inconvenience in Copying Raw LaTeX Source (Feature Request)

  • Problem: When the model outputs mathematical formulations, the interface automatically renders them. However, there is no direct mechanism to copy the raw LaTeX source code. Selecting and copying rendered math blocks often yields corrupted plain text, missing backslashes, or broken unicode symbols.

  • Use Case: Developers and researchers who frequently transfer formulas into Markdown note-taking applications, technical papers, or LaTeX editors currently have to manually re-type or inspect element to extract the original code.

  • Suggested Solution:

    • Add a dedicated “Copy LaTeX” button when hovering over rendered math blocks, or include a “Copy raw Markdown” option on the message menu.

    • Provide a toggle to switch between rendered view and raw Markdown text.

2. Cannot Submit “Edit and rerun this turn” via Keyboard (Tab + Enter) (Bug / Usability Issue)

  • Problem: In the prompt editor, when using the “Edit and rerun this turn” feature, keyboard shortcuts fail to trigger the rerun action. Specifically, pressing Tab to navigate to the submit button followed by Enter does not execute the rerun, nor is there support for standard submission combinations.

  • Steps to Reproduce:

    1. Click the “Edit and rerun this turn” icon on any previous turn.

    2. Modify the text inside the prompt textarea.

    3. Press Tab attempting to focus the “Save / Rerun” button and press Enter (or press Ctrl + Enter).

    4. Notice that the turn is not submitted, forcing the user to switch to the mouse to click the button manually.

  • Expected Behavior:

    • Support Ctrl + Enter (or Cmd + Enter on macOS) directly inside the edit textarea to save and rerun immediately.

    • Ensure keyboard focus order allows Tab to land predictably on the primary action button so pressing Enter executes the turn.

Hi LastXuan. Did you find both of these issues in the Playground part of AI Studio? If so, could you do a screen recording and share here? The reason I ask is that I tried to reproduce both this morning & both worked fine for me.
