I really don’t get the logic here. Many developers already have working products based on the “stable” version of 2.5 Flash. Is the new preview version intended to become the new “stable” version? What’s the point of calling stable if you’re going to change the model three months in?

I thought gemini-2.5-flash was supposed to be a stable version, supported for at least a year. Why are you releasing a new snapshot for that model?
