Thanks for reporting this! I tried reproducing this behavior locally, but this issue is not reproducible from our end. To help me isolate whether a path configuration error is the active culprit preventing your MCP server from initializing, could you try a few troubleshooting steps for me?

Steps to resolve and capture diagnostics:

  1. Find the mcp_config.json file within your Antigravity or data-agent-kit installation. This file is often in a user-specific configuration path or the extension’s folder. Open it and update any paths pointing to mcp_proxy_bundle.js or other googlecloudtools.datacloud assets to reflect the current, correct installation location of your latest extension version. Ensure these are absolute paths to existing files.
  2. If manually correcting paths doesn’t work, a complete uninstall and reinstall of the extension often forces the system to regenerate configuration files with up-to-date paths.
  3. Fully restart your Antigravity client or IDE to ensure the new configuration is loaded.
  4. Open the Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P or Cmd+Shift+P), search for Antigravity: Reset Onboarding, and execute it.

This will tell us if the issue is a configuration mismatch caused by a hardcoded path (ENOENT error) or a deeper initialization bug. If the issue persists after these steps, please provide the following details:

  • Your exact Antigravity platform and version.
  • Your current account plan.
  • Any new log snippets or exact error messages encountered after trying the steps above.

The issue is with Yes. It is only an optional background telemetry/analytics reporter for Google Cloud tools. Removing or disabling it has zero impact on your project, Firestore, Firebase, or development workflows.

You can safely delete or rename the folder: C:\Users\kgens\.gemini\config\plugins\googlecloudtools.datacloud_telemetry

Ihave deleted this a bunch iof times keep on coming back broken with every update.

I deleted \googlecloudtools.datacloud_telemetry and now it eapeared even after that

This archive proves that Google’s moderation team is refraining from deletion. They fear that erasing the evidence would be considered spoliation of evidence in court.

OK solved the issue was a issue with google extention that was generating the issue.
