I don’t think so.
I participated in a previous hackathon called the “Google AI Hackathon” on Devpost. It was an official Google Hackathon. Participants had more than a month to build an app, and over 900 projects were created. The total prize was $50k, with 8 projects winning. Unfortunately, the rest didn’t receive feedback or anything.
They did not give any certificate. I participated in a lot of Google Cloud events in Denmark. I had Google shirts and other things. I even worked with a company that was directly working with Google. I do not have that kind of image that they will not even give certificates.
DevPost allows you to refer to your project page and show that you participated. In this hackathon we also have individual project pages. The best is if you bring your project to a state where it can stand alone.
I am going to release my app which is almost completed. There are no good payment gateways in Pakistan. Therefore I am a little stuck at this stage. Otherwise, soon after submission, I developed an Urdu version of it and did a few more updates.
Depends, I noticed the Competition 1 week before it ended… so i literally had 5 days to get my project to work xD
