Dear Gemini API Support Team,
We are currently using the Gemini API for invoice OCR and document data extraction. We are using the Flash model to optimize processing speed and reduce API costs. However, we are still experiencing significantly higher API charges than expected. (per invoice 10 or 20 rupees)
Our primary use case is invoice processing, where invoices are uploaded and processed to extract structured information such as:
Invoice number
Invoice date
Vendor/supplier details
Customer details
Tax/GST information
Line items
Quantity and unit price
Subtotal and total amount
Other relevant invoice fields
Although we are using a Flash model, the overall API consumption and associated costs appear to be considerably high, especially when processing a large number of invoices. So kindly check the issues.
