Same issue here for 2 days now and tried all sorts; Chrome, Edge, Safari - Incognito, InPrivate, Private Browsing…NOTHING WORKS! My website was scheduled to go Live this weekend, published successfully to my Hosting but the last few change for Go Live wont update. What a nightmare.
What I did was share the project with another Google account and create a new Github account!
It worked for me. However, I’m still waiting for the Google AI Studio team to fix this issue, since the one that went bad was my main account.
When you share project, the options are limited to the other account it seems. On the shared-to account, I can only see Settings, Share and Remix on the top right menu. How do you sync up to the new Github account?
Remix. It allows the new Google Account to continue development and then you can sync to a “New” Github account.
I tried all the usual fixes, but unfortunately, nothing worked for me. I don’t feel confident using Google AI Studio for serious projects anymore; I’ve spent months developing my apps on the platform, only to feel unsupported in the end.
I started using Cursor yesterday—the learning curve is steeper, but I already have two apps running with GitHub sync and Vercel deployment. I’m on the free version for now, but I think the subscription will be well worth it for a platform that is well-maintained and actually supports its users when things get tough.
Sorry, Google!
Best regards
Peter
Good move!
I was teaching a group of students to use Google Antigravity instead to get around this, since the Google AI Studio team just didn’t have time to fix this issue.
I got my GitHub Sync with Google AI Studio issue fixed!!!
Here is how:
Step‑by‑Step Solution1. Revoke GitHub Access
-
Go to GitHub → click your profile picture → Settings
-
Navigate to Applications → Authorized OAuth Apps
-
Find the related AI Studio or Google app → click Revoke Access
-
Uninstall the GitHub App
-
In Settings → Installed GitHub Apps
-
Locate the app → click Uninstall
-
-
Log Out of All Google Accounts
-
Sign out from every Google account in your browser
-
Make sure no accounts remain logged in (Gmail, Drive, AI Studio, etc.)
-
-
Clear AI Studio Cache
-
Open Google AI Studio
-
Clear browser cache and cookies (especially for
[aistudio.google.com](http://aistudio.google.com)) -
Refresh the page
-
-
Log Back In and Sync
-
Sign in again using the correct AI Studio account
-
Click Sync or re‑bind the account
-
Test to confirm everything works properly

Hi Kevin,
Thank you very much for your detailed step-by-step guidance. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into outlining the process so clearly—it’s a great help ![]()
I’ll go through the procedure as described and will get back to you with an update once everything has been completed.
Thanks again for your support.
Best regards,
Peter
You are welcome!
BTW, if you don’t like to “Clear browser cache and cookies”, simply use an in-private browser mode! It might be easier!
Good luck!
