# Hello, I built an app called Jerry Sneakers in Google AI Studio, and the app is working correctly. I’m trying to publish it using the free Starter Tier, but when I select Publish → Get started, I’m taken to a screen showing “Setup billing” and “Refresh.”

Hello, I built an app called **Jerry Sneakers** in Google AI Studio, and the app is working correctly.

I’m trying to publish it using the free Starter Tier, but when I select **Publish → Get started** , I’m taken to a screen showing **“Setup billing”** and **“Refresh.”** Refreshing does not change anything.

The app is using the **Default Gemini project**. I also tried connecting the project to GitHub, but GitHub repeatedly gives me **“Something went wrong. Please try logging in again,”** even though I can log into GitHub normally through Safari.

I do not want to add a payment method or enable billing. Could you please help me access the free Starter Tier publishing option or explain why it is unavailable for my project?

Not all accounts are eligible for The Starter Tier. Please check out the caveats mentioned in the [Google AI Studio deployment documentation](https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/aistudio-deploying#about-the-starter-tier). Eligibility is determined automatically, and we cannot review Starter Tier access manually.

You might want to consider linking a Cloud Billing account to your project.
