# Google Gemini API not responding and not being reached

When trying to use the gemini API for openclaw, typing a message simply returns nothing. Judging off the website their is an outage but it says it’s not for the API. Also, when running the curl quickstart on ubuntu, it returns  
curl: (6) Could not resolve host: [generativelanguage.googleapis.com](http://generativelanguage.googleapis.com)

if anyone knows how to solve this that would be awesome
