I haven’t used anything today and all the Gemini models are at their quota limits, even though I used to use AI Studio for a whole day without having any quota limits. What’s going on? How can a huge company like that have errors like this without fixing them?
The quotas in Google AI Studio were significantly adjusted for free users a long time ago. If you are on Gemini Pro, please head over to Google Antigravity, where higher quotas are available.
That being said, Google has consistently and drastically reduced quotas for both free and paid users alike, and I doubt they will ever respond to you regarding this… it has pretty much become an established fact.
You’ll either have to pay higher subscription fees for it, or just switch to another platform.
I also find the current positioning of AI Studio to be quite vague. They claim it is a “playground,” yet the moderation is excessively strict.
And as for code debugging, the quotas have been cut again and again, even though the coding performance of Gemini 3.5—including the current 3.1 Pro—is subpar The only reason I still use them is that they are great for roleplaying.
But if the upcoming Gemini 3.5 Pro model is both expensive and fails to compete with other models at the same price point, you can jump ship immediately. I am entirely convinced of this. In fact, I even doubt whether Google, in its current state, is actually capable of delivering that kind of performance upgrade.
