Google AI Studio Starter Tier Not Available – Publish App Only Shows Set Up Billing

Hello Google AI Studio Support Team,

I need assistance with an issue regarding the Starter Tier option when publishing my application from Google AI Studio.

When I open the Publish menu, the system only displays:

  • Google Cloud Project: Gurujamanknow

  • Status: No billing setup

  • Set up billing

  • Refresh

The Starter Tier option does not appear, even after clicking Refresh several times.

Here are my account details and circumstances:

  1. I am using a personal Gmail account, not a Google Workspace or Google Workspace for Education account.

  2. I have never created a Google Cloud Billing account.

  3. I have never activated the Google Cloud $300 free trial.

  4. There is currently no billing account listed in my Google Cloud Billing account management page.

  5. My Firebase project for this application is separate from my other project.

  6. My application is named SuksesTKA.

  7. My Firebase project ID is suksestka-80353.

  8. My Firebase project is currently on the Spark (No-cost) plan.

I would like to publish my application using the Google AI Studio *.ai.studio public URL, preferably without activating paid billing.

Could you please clarify:

  1. Why is the Starter Tier option unavailable for my account?

  2. Is my Google account eligible for the Starter Tier?

  3. Is there any account verification or eligibility requirement I still need to complete?

  4. Can I publish my application using the Starter Tier without creating a paid Google Cloud Billing account?

I would appreciate your guidance on how to resolve this issue.

Thank you for your help.

Best regards,
A Google AI Studio user

Hello @rakhmat_hidayat ,

Not all accounts are eligible for The Starter Tier. Please check out the caveats mentioned in the Google AI Studio deployment documentation. Eligibility is determined automatically, and we cannot review Starter Tier access manually.

You might want to consider linking a Cloud Billing account to your project.
