Google AI Studio Starter Tier Missing from SellSpark AI Publish Screen

Hello Google AI Studio Support,

I am the founder of SellSpark AI, an app I have built in Google AI Studio with the intention of launching it for customers.

When I select Publish, the screen shows “Default Gemini Project — No billing setup” and offers “Set up billing” and “Refresh.” I do not see an option to publish through the Google Cloud Starter Tier without setting up billing.

Before I enter payment information, I would appreciate clarification on the following:

  1. Is my Google account eligible for Starter Tier publishing?

  2. If it is eligible, why is that option missing from my Publish screen, and how can I access it?

  3. If paid billing is required, which services would SellSpark AI use, and where can I review the applicable charges before proceeding?

I would also appreciate guidance on the requirements for making the app available to customers, including secure customer accounts and saved content.

Same issue here.

I’m using a new personal @gmail.com account with no Cloud Billing, no payment method, and no previous AI Studio publications.

My full-stack app works correctly in Preview, but Publish only shows:

“Default Gemini Project”
“No billing setup”
“Set up billing”
“Refresh”

The Starter Tier option is completely missing, even after refreshing and reopening the Publish dialog.

My other Google accounts have AI Studio applications, but this is a completely separate new Google account.

Could you please check whether my account is eligible and whether the Starter Tier entitlement has been provisioned?

I do not want to enable Cloud Billing just to publish the app.

Not all accounts are eligible for The Starter Tier. Please check out the caveats mentioned in the Google AI Studio deployment documentation. Eligibility is determined automatically, and we cannot review Starter Tier access manually.

You might want to consider linking a Cloud Billing account to your project.
