I built a Google AI Studio application called “Gemini Life Journal”. The app works correctly in Preview, including Firebase Authentication, Gemini interaction, and Firestore functionality. However, when I try to publish the app, every custom *.ai.studio URL is reported as: “This URL is not available.” I have tried multiple valid and highly unique URLs, including very long random strings, but all are rejected. The issue occurs consistently in the Publish > Final touches step. I have also submitted an in-app bug report. Could you please investigate whether there is an issue with custom URL availability/reservation for my app or account? I can provide the App ID and screenshots if needed.

Still happening for me, even the one AI Studio defaults to initially says “This URL is not available.”. A completely random one does seem to work
I think we now know the issue for many / all users facing this problem. We were rejecting URLs based on a hidden block list of terms & not exposing that was happening. As of today, we’ve rolled out a change which makes this visible (the publish screen will show when a url is blocked because of a term in the url).
