Google AI Studio Publish: every custom .ai.studio app URL shows “This URL is not available”

Hi Google AI Studio team,

I am experiencing what appears to be a bug in the Publish workflow for an app built in Google AI Studio.

Issue:
When I go to Publish → Step 2: Final touches, every custom *.ai.studio App URL I enter is rejected with:

“This URL is not available.”

I have tested many different names, including deliberately unique names such as:

3yyfresh-wh-20260831-r2u

and the result is always the same.

All of the URL-format validation checks pass:
✓ 6–63 characters
✓ lowercase letters, numbers or hyphens only
✓ starts and ends with a letter or number
✓ no consecutive hyphens

However, the URL is still reported as unavailable.

I have also tried:

  • shorter names
  • longer unique names
  • different combinations of letters and numbers
  • refreshing/reopening the Publish workflow
  • selecting my Google Cloud project and billing account again

The app itself works correctly in Preview. The blocker is specifically the custom App URL validation during publishing.

I am trying to publish this application so that I can obtain a public HTTPS URL for authentication redirects from Supabase.

Could you please investigate whether:

  1. the *.ai.studio URL availability checker is malfunctioning;
  2. my AI Studio project/account has a stale or orphaned URL reservation;
  3. there is an issue with the URL/domain mapping associated with my project; or
  4. there is another way to bypass the custom *.ai.studio URL and publish directly to the generated Cloud Run URL.

I can provide the AI Studio project ID, Google Cloud project ID, screenshots, browser details and any logs required.

I have attached screenshots showing:

  • the Publish screen;
  • unique URLs being rejected;
  • all URL-format validation checks passing.

Google AI Studio Publishing Issue – Deployment Not Working

I am currently experiencing an issue with publishing/deploying my application through Google AI Studio. The application works correctly during development, but the publishing process is failing with an error.

I have retried multiple times and the issue is still persisting. Could anyone confirm whether this is a known Google AI Studio service-side issue affecting other users as well?

Any update or guidance from the Google AI Studio team would be greatly appreciated.

Anoop - couple of questions:

  • Is this happening with any name or just that one? For example does a completely random sequence of letters / numbers give the same result?
  • Could you give me the associated app ID?

The issue is specifically occurring when we try to generate/publish the application link from Google AI Studio. Could you please investigate this from your end and advise if there is any known issue affecting AI Studio Build/publishing?
