Hello Google AI Studio Team,
I need help with a GitHub repository binding issue in my existing Google AI Studio Build Mode app.
My existing AI Studio app is:
ALTIVOX TRAVEL AI DESK
Problem:
In the existing AI Studio workspace, Settings → GitHub only shows:
“Sync to GitHub”
“A new GitHub repository will be created”
“Create new repository”
There is no option to select or reconnect my existing GitHub repository.
I already created this private GitHub repository:
abubkar5964-dot/altivox-travel-ai-desk
The Google AI Studio GitHub App is installed and has access to this repository with the required permissions.
The repository currently contains only README.md because I created it manually before connecting AI Studio.
I do NOT want to create a duplicate repository.
I also checked the Build Mode / new-app flow. “Import from GitHub” is available there, but my existing ALTIVOX app cannot use that option.
The main problem is that the current ALTIVOX app contains my latest work, but I cannot find the “Download App (ZIP)” option anywhere in the current UI, so I cannot safely export the current app before importing/reconnecting the GitHub repository.
I have checked:
- Existing AI Studio app
- Versions
- GitHub settings
- GitHub repository
- GitHub App permissions
- Build Mode → Import from GitHub
Please advise how I can safely export/download my current AI Studio app or reconnect this existing repository without creating a duplicate repository or losing the current app.
I can provide screenshots if required.
Thank you.
