I am having a problem accessing Google AI Studio through the web browser.
My goal is simply to use Google AI Studio in the browser. I do not need to use the Gemini API or an API key.
However, I am receiving a “Permission denied” error when trying to use AI Studio.
I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps:

Verified my age

Signed out and signed in again
•
Cleared browser cache and cookies
•
Used Microsoft Edge Guest mode
•
Tried different browser conditions
•
Checked my Google account settings
•
Contacted Google One Support
I also contacted a Google One support agent. However, the agent could only provide general help pages and was unable to investigate the Google AI Studio access problem.
I also tried generating an API key only as a troubleshooting step. When I did so, I received the following error:
“Failed to generate API key, The request is suspicious. Please try again.”
However, I want to emphasize that I do not need an API key. I only want to use Google AI Studio through the browser.
Could someone please investigate whether there is an account-level access restriction, entitlement issue, Terms of Service issue, security restriction, or another backend issue preventing my Google account from accessing Google AI Studio?
I would especially like to know whether my account has the necessary access/entitlement to use the browser-based version of Google AI Studio.
I have already completed the usual browser and account troubleshooting, so I would appreciate it if this could be investigated on the Google side rather than receiving general troubleshooting instructions.

- Can you check if both these places have your birthdate set? 1 and 2. If not, please set and retry in a few hours.
- Where are you accessing AIS from? Supported regions
- Please check that you are not using any VPN, proxy, etc..
