Google AI Studio API – 503 errors on one account but not another (region or quota issue?)

Hi everyone,

I’d like to know which region is being used for the Google AI Studio API.

The issue is that, in one of my accounts, I frequently receive errors like this:

503 UNAVAILABLE. {‘error’: {‘code’: 503, ‘message’: ‘This model is currently experiencing high demand. Spikes in demand are usually temporary. Please try again later.’, ‘status’: ‘UNAVAILABLE’}}

However, with another account, everything works perfectly fine under the same conditions.

Google has told me that it’s not possible to change the region in Google AI Studio, so I don’t understand why one account consistently works while the other often runs into this 503 error.

Does anyone have any insight into this? Could it be related to region allocation, quotas, or account-specific limits?
