GitHub login issue with Google AI Studio

It’s broken again please fix please :folded_hands:

It’s not working for me and hasn’t for weeks for certain projects.

For a project named “Crossword-Generator”, which is a bit more complex with AI features, etc., I’m able to commit changes successfully.

For a project named “Unleashing.tech”, which is an exceedingly simple, static website, I’m getting consistent “Something went wrong” errors. It has no “weird” files or even a .gitignore. The only thing I can think of is that the “.” in the project name is causing issues.

I’m able to connect and log in to GitHub from AI Studio, but, even after clearing cache/cookies, revoking permission in GitHub and reconnecting from AI Studio, trying to commit changes results in a “Something went wrong” error.

In the console, I’m seeing an error 500 (Internal Server Error) when pressing commit.

I’m literally losing my brains, none of my projects wants to link with Github

Welcome to Google AI Studio….

Descobri o problema.

Having the same issue as the original post, it wont recognise that i have signed in to github at all.

Thanks for the tip. It worked for me!

Same, i tried but it does not work

Hi, I have a similar GitHub login issue in Google AI Studio.

My project is already connected to a GitHub repository.

The GitHub panel shows the repository and branch correctly, but it still asks me to:

Sign in to GitHub to continue

When I click it, GitHub opens and shows that I am already signed in to the correct GitHub account.

I already checked the GitHub App installation. Google AI Studio is installed, repository access is set to all repositories, and the app has read/write permissions.

I also checked Authorized OAuth Apps and Authorized GitHub Apps. I do not see a Google AI Studio token there to revoke.

I cleared site data for aistudio.google.com, tested a clean browser session, and saved the GitHub App repository access again. The issue still remains.

The project builds successfully inside Google AI Studio, and the workspace has changes, but I cannot commit because the GitHub panel never completes the authentication callback.

Is there a way to reset the Google AI Studio GitHub binding from the Google side without uninstalling the GitHub App and risking the existing repository connection?

Thanks,
Lior
