# Getting an output error message

Getting the the following: \> Output error

> Full output blocked. Edit prompt and retry.

This when generating code.  
Either the output gets cut short or is not generated at all. Also saying “continue” makes the models try the same output and get the same error but it may also produce the next couple of lines of code and after a while of the same thing, they get past the section causing the error and continue on normally.

Update:

With code execution turned on, no output is being generated with a consistent 80-100 seconds runtime. Code is js but also had the same problem with python.

Thanks, I figured that out eventually. But what’s with the output blocked error even when running with code execution off?
