Hi, I’m trying to integrate gemini into my discourse platform.
I’ve created a new (free-tier) API key and tried calling it for the first time. I got 429 error saying I’m using up my current quota, even though it’s my very first call. Tried again some times, still the same error. You can see that all my 9 requests are 429 requests.
Is there anything I did wrong?
Any suggestions or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Faced the same issue, I believe they’ve stopped Free Tier access to Gemini 2.0 Flash 
@Naveed_Hassan did you upgrade to paid plan? does it work?
I changed to Gemini 2.5 Flash which seems to have a decent free tier

FYI, the 2.0 Flash model used to have 200 RPD on the free tier.
The 2.5 Flash has only 20 RPD.
