# Gemini Taking an Unusually Long Time to Modify Code

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if I’m the only one experiencing this, but lately Gemini seems to take a very long time before making changes to my code. It appears to spend an extended period “thinking” before providing an update or modification.

In some cases, the delay is significant enough that I start to question whether it is still processing the request.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so, were you able to identify the cause (e.g., project size, settings, or model configuration)?

I would appreciate hearing about your experiences.

I am also facing the same when using gemini in the canvas mode , it take insane amount of time just to accomodate a small change of few lines.

Even on iOS version I’m making a cap game and it’s taken 10min to far (3.1pro)
