Gemini per-tier Search Grounding Rate Limits

Hi,

On the current Usage Tier 2 level, I’ve got the following rate limits on the per-tier Search Grounding request quotas across Gemini models:

  • Gemini 3: 1,500 RPD
  • Gemini 2.5: 5,000 RPD
  • Gemini 2: 5,000 RPD

Can I go beyond those 1,500 RPD - and if so, how? I found that Gemini charges “$14 / 1,000 additional queries”. In my case, it doesn’t auto-charge, and it hits on rate limit errors when that 1,500 RPD limit got hit.

I appreciate any help on this, as I couldn’t find a reliable answer to that question in any Google API Docs. Thank you.
