Hello Google Gemini API Team,
I am requesting a manual review of Gemini API access for a Google Workspace for Education project.
Google AI Studio shows the project as Restricted with the billing tier Unavailable. Gemini API requests return:
403 PERMISSION_DENIED: Your project has been denied access. Please contact support.
I have verified:
- Gemini API is enabled.
- 2-Step Verification is enabled.
- Phone verification is complete.
- Our Workspace organizational unit is designated for users 18 or older.
- The project is being used for a low-volume school-district proof of concept called Zippy, an internal employee handbook and district-document assistant.
We would like to continue development using the eligible Gemini API Free Tier and do not want to enable paid billing at this time.
Could you please manually review the account/project restriction and restore Free Tier access if eligible?
