Gemini API Access Restricted on My Project – Request for Review

Hello Google Gemini API Team,

I am requesting a manual review of my Gemini API access.

My Google AI Studio project currently shows:

  • Project Status: Restricted

  • Project Quota Tier: Unavailable

  • Usage: No data available

When I make a Gemini API request, I receive:

403 PERMISSION_DENIED
“Your project has been denied access. Please contact support.”

I have already completed:

  • Age verification

  • Phone verification

  • 2-Step Verification (2SV)

I also tested the API using the official Google Gen AI Python SDK from Google Colab, and the request still returns the same 403 error.

My intended use is personal, low-volume development and testing, specifically for analyzing YouTube videos with Gemini’s video understanding capabilities.

I would like to use the available Gemini API Free Tier and do not want to enable paid billing at this time.

Could you please manually review my Google account/project and restore Gemini API access if I am eligible?

I have not included my API key or any private credentials. I can provide my Project ID or other project details if required.
