I use vscode all the time. I have Claude Code, Github Copilot, and Codex integrated with it. I had Gemini integrated with it as well. Then in June 2026 Google pulled the .. out from under me when it said I have to switch to AntiGravity IDE to keep using Gemini. Why? I don’t want to have to unplug vscode and switch to a new IDE. Anthropic, OpenAI, and Microsoft all play nice together with vscode. Why can’t Google do the same?
