Gemini 4 Argon just launched inside Antigravity today and apparently it is for Ultra users only so not included in the paid Pro plans. I don’t know how Google expect people to just buy an ultra subscription for a model that has only been rumored about until now and considering the competition state over the last 6 months especially ever since the Google I/O event in May I find it unreasonable for people to purchase an ultra subscription based on Gemini 4 Argon alone where Anthropic is rumored to have a new insane Opus model ready to go already. I think they need to give people some time and incentive to consider coming back to Google’s ecosystem and subscriptions. Most of the people I know already have cancelled even their pro plans and gave up on Google so I don’t know who is paying for the ultra plan based on the rumored and self claimed benchmarks of Google. Feels like a wrong decision to me and it did disappoint me to see it paywalled behind ultra plans inside Antigravity. ---

And it’s worse than just Argon being Ultra-only. I’m a paying Pro subscriber. This week Gemini 3.1 Pro, 3.7 Flash and 3.6 Flash have all vanished from my Antigravity model picker. The only Gemini model Pro users have left in Antigravity is 3.8 Flash. Then Argon arrives for Pro in the Gemini app, but not in the coding tool where it would actually be useful. Ultra is roughly five times the price of Pro. That’s a paywall, not an upgrade path. - Give Pro users Argon in Antigravity, even with a reduced quota - Give notice before removing models ---

Totally agree, it is unreasonable to expect people to purchase ultra subscriptions based on practically nothing. No one has ever tried out this Gemini 4 Argon model, there is so little information online and the track record makes it very difficult to justify compared to other subscriptions. They need to sweeten the pot, give people a taste before asking them to commit otherwise it just does not make sense at all both from their perspective and both from the user perspective. ---

Leaving the PRO users with the only possibility of using Gemini 4 on the Gemini website and not being able to use it on the ANTIGRAVITY. Is a really despicable move… 👎 ---

Why with a reduced quota model? I pay twenty-two dollars, so I want the full model and not just half a model
