Gemini-3-pro-image-preview RUNNING, then EXPIRED

I am experiencing difficulties with the Batch API via curl using gemini-3-pro-image-preview. I haven’t been able to generate new images since late March 2026.

When I attempt to generate new images through the curl Batch API, the job moves from BATCH_STATE_RUNNING (where it remains stuck for 48 hours) to BATCH_STATE_EXPIRED without producing any images.

This issue persists whether the batch size is 1 or 10 images.

Did I miss some important information? Has the Batch API or the model changed recently?

The same issue happens with the gemini-3.1-flash-image-preview model.

Both issues happen with 4K images.

I tried gemini-3.1-flash-image-preview model with 2K format with success.

A similar issue with Nano Banana 4K generation has been reported here.

Does anybody else have issues with 4K nano banana image generation?
