What happened with 3.1 Pro?
When released, it was outstanding. I got really good results with it even on complex tasks.
Just testing it today and it doesn’t looks to be the same model.
Subject to hallunications more than ever, do not follow prompted basic rules ( it still commited changes but I had forbidden it to do it, add comments where it was told to not add to, trying to execute commands I’ve asked him to not use, etc ).
Also the mindset is poorer, report quality, code quality, everything seems to have decrease in a week.
You are right, on released it was too good but now its not even close to sonnet 4.6! really sad and worried to see this I cancel my cursor subscription!
gemini-3.1-pro-preview is completely down, no matter how many times my apps try.
It worked really well for me for about a week. gemini-3-pro-preview is working so falling back on that.
Gemini 3.1 Pro API is unusable now. No matter, which time you try, they simply give an error message: API ERROR on Row 151: 503 UNAVAILABLE. {‘error’: {‘code’: 503, ‘message’: ‘This model is currently experiencing high demand. Spikes in demand are usually temporary. Please try again later.’, ‘status’: ‘UNAVAILABLE’}}
This is unacceptable. There was no such issues with Gemini 3 Pro API. Tried many time but no change in the situation for the last 2 days
Gemini 3.1 Pro is available on Google AI Studio and Web Interface but API is not available. I am in a promotional plan. Are you deliberately cutting us off? I don’t get this. My friends who are paying for the tokens are using the API when I am stuck here
I have been using Gemini Pro for C and Bash Linux programming mostly and since 2.5 it was great, 3.0 was perfect, 3.1 even better for a day or 2. Then it collapsed. First of all it’s tone of voice changed and is extremely short and to the point, almost uninterested rude. But more importantly it lost it’s ability to do the same very complex C programming and refactoring tasks. It’s not even close now. What did you do Google???!!
BTW, I don’;t use Studio, just Gemini in a separate Firefox Window.
