SUMMARY:
Google AI Pro (Jio promotion) user blocked from Flow after September 3 Google outage.
Support refuses to help retrieve work files stored on Google servers.
TIMELINE:
May - Sep 3, 2026: Flow worked perfectly (3 months daily use)
Sep 3, 2026: Major Gemini/Google services outage
Sep 4, 2026: Flow suddenly blocked - “Not available in your country”
MY SETUP (unchanged for 3 months):
- Google AI Pro via Jio promotion (legitimate subscription)
- Google Play country: India (set by Jio activation)
- Physical location: Russia (never changed)
- Access method: Netherlands residential VPN (same for 3 months)
GOOGLE ONE SUPPORT RESPONSE (Case 8-8789000041175):
First: “Contact Jio for refund”
But Flow is GOOGLE service, not Jio’s
My files stored on GOOGLE servers, not Jio’s
Block caused by GOOGLE system changes, not Jio’s
Then: “Access from physically supported location”
My location never changed - worked fine for 3 months
Block happened after YOUR outage, not my location change
This is not a solution - it’s abandoning users
Final: “Cannot manually override, bypass, or restore access”
Cannot help retrieve MY data from YOUR servers
Subscription still active and charging
No alternative solution provided
THE CORE ISSUE:
This is NOT about policy or geo-restrictions.
This is about:
- SERVICE DISRUPTION caused by Google’s system incident (Sep 3)
- DATA ACCESS - I cannot retrieve my own work files
- PAYING CUSTOMER abandoned after Google’s technical changes
- ZERO help from support for their own service
QUESTIONS FOR GOOGLE / FLOW TEAM:
- Is Flow support for Jio promotion users officially discontinued?
- If geo-blocking was always required, why did it work for 3 months?
- How can users retrieve their data if support refuses to help?
- Will Google refund Jio promotion users blocked after Sep 3 changes?
IS ANYONE ELSE AFFECTED?
If you’re using Google AI Pro (especially Jio promotion) and lost Flow access after Sep 3:
- Please comment with your experience
- Share your case ID if you contacted support
- Let’s document how many users are affected
@GoogleAI @GoogleFlow @FlowTeam
This needs technical review from Flow team, not standard support responses.
Paying users deserve better than “we cannot help with our own service.”
