Extremely Frustrated with Claude Usage Limit Reset

You know a product is a hit when the users are like crack addicts pounding on someone’s door at 3am.

I would highly recommend everyone in this thread chill out. If you are expecting your $20/month plan to last a month, you are sorely mistaken. Is there a UI bug? Probably. Is Google doing some kind of dynamic limiting to balance demand sneakily? Probably. They should say it’s a UI bug and take the heat. But frankly if you can’t figure out how to do your jobs because a meter in their UI is inaccurate, well, I hope you’ve got some backup skills.

$200/mo is the standard price for these plans, and people just have to deal with it. Claude Max 5 is only $100, that will get you through 1/2 a month if you’re using it all day. Claude Max 20 takes dedication to use but I have used mine every month if I’m writing software every day (and running multiple simultaneous agents, which I do all the time). There is just no way a $20 a month plan, with Anthropic agents, is going to get you through more than a day or two per week. At least currently (stuff tends to get cheaper).

So I just downgraded from Claude Max 20 to Claude Pro (gonna try ChatGPT Pro). I had some big tasks going to use up my final quota, and let them carry over to my Pro plan. In the 36 minutes I’ve been on Pro, I’ve used 81% of my current session quota, and 65% of my weekly quota. If that gives you an idea.

And 2 more things:

  • Why would you expect to pay less for Claude using Google than you would paying Anthropic directly? Maybe if Google was subsidizing it, in which case it’s at their discretion to slow down the usage rate. Otherwise you’re paying more than you would be going to Anthropic directly. Food for thought.
  • Gemini quota for the Pro plan is 1.5x the free plan. Yes, 2 free google accounts have more Gemini quota than 1 paid $20/month Pro level plan. Don’t know what to tell you about that.

Anyway, I hope you all get your magical code genies working again and are able to chill out. Probably worth remembering that every AI company is subsidizing costs at this point, but at some point that will change.

I hav tried to even uninstall and reinstall antigravity, instead I keep etting 5 day limits and at this rate, I’d want a refund because. Paying pro and getting 1 prompt fro claude? Let me just switch fuly to claude code.

I’m experiencing the same issue even though I’m not an Ultra user, and frankly, this is unacceptable! This problem started popping up over the past week, and it seems like switching from Antigravity to VS Code and using the same credit there makes much more sense! I’m paying $200 and in return, I can only send a maximum of 5 requests to Claude models! Are you kidding me!

First of all I thought I’d try it out for the monthly $20. They dinged me for a year at $220. No response to customer service emails. The amount of resets are brutal. Tuesday afternoon I hit a weekly session limit until 3pm Thursday. Thursday at 3pm I started working again and I hit a limit at 4:30pm. Another example, session limit today at 4:30pm till 7pm. Started at 7pm and at 7>15pm I hit a limit till 0100 in the morning. Its total BS.. I’d say 60% of the usage is redoing coding it gets wrong over and over again. Contesting the credit card charge, we’ll see what happens.
