Excessive disk usage from DOM Recording junk files

I would like to highlight an issue regarding the massive accumulation of junk files from the DOM Recording feature in Antigravity.

The recorded browser interaction files build up extremely fast in local storage, reaching tens of gigabytes in size. There seems to be no auto cleanup system or efficient compression in place, causing DOM snapshots to pile up endlessly and consume excessive disk space.

Are there any optimization plans from the dev team for this? It would be great to have features like cache quota limits, automatic cleanup for older sessions, or a manual button in the settings to clear these DOM recording junk files.

Hi @ZY_GUARD,

Thank you for reporting! To help us to diagnose the root cause, could you please provide a few more details?

  • What version of Antigravity and which OS are you currently using?
  • What is the exact directory path where these files are accumulating, and what are their file extensions (e.g., .json, .webm)?
  • Roughly how long does it take for the files to reach tens of gigabytes (e.g., a single long session vs. weeks of use)?
  • Have you tried manually deleting these files as a temporary workaround? If so, did it cause any unexpected behavior in your projects?
