Error waiting for user input

Title: Waiting for user input caused by unregistered approval step

Description:

While using Antigravity Desktop 1.23.2 on Windows 10, the AI frequently becomes stuck on “Waiting for user input”.

The permission popup (“Allow in Workspace”) sometimes disappears or becomes detached from the active workflow. After that, the agent remains waiting indefinitely and cannot continue.

Developer Console shows:

ERR [unknown] input not registered for step 490
ConnectError: [unknown] input not registered for step 490

HandleCascadedUserInteraction 500 (Internal Server Error)

Observed behavior:

  • Agent analyzes files normally.

  • Permission request appears.

  • Permission state becomes invalid.

  • Workflow enters “Waiting for user input”.

  • User can no longer provide the requested approval.

Expected behavior:

  • Permission requests remain available until answered.

  • Approval should always be registered to the correct workflow step.

  • Workflow should not become blocked by missing input registrations.

Additional notes:

  • Happens frequently in large React/TypeScript workspaces.

  • Often triggered when AI reads or edits multiple TSX files.

  • Reproducible during long audit/refactoring sessions.
