Dose google is planning/has for VS Code-based AI-assisted IDEs

Along side my work i also pickup lots of freelancing projects and Im getting time to work on those freelancing projects because of IDEs like windsurf and cursor. if google is planning or has a AI assisted IDE then it would instantly become my first choice.

Duet AI is a IDE by google but its completely in cloud and only for google cloud projects so you cant use it for other stuff

Hey @anupam_Dwivedi Thanks for reaching out with this excellent question. I can confirm that Google has been actively addressing this need. We understand that modern developers, especially freelancers need powerful AI tools that integrate with local development environment that’s why we have Gemini Code Assist AI partner for the IDEs you already use, like Visual Studio Code and JetBrains products and it offer a generous free tier for individuals so you can try it out for all your freelance projects.

yesterday finally google has launched a proper IDE “AntiGravity”. and up till now it perfect. there are few small bugs but since its the first day of launch so I really have high expectations for this.
Currently the web extension is not working. rest all is awesome

Thanks Anupam for writing back, Antigravity is going to have a lot of advanced features soon, keep coding

Yes, I was waiting for a cursor-like app from Google, and here it is. I will be using it and testing it out to see how it works. Thanks, Google, for AntiGravity
