Does streaming a daily dev log count as a video submission?

we are supposed to have a 3 minute video demo of our app in action, I’m not sure if having Dev log streams would be considered cheating as you’d technically bypass that requirement. ie the judges might end-up knowing more about your app than they would have if they had watched a 3 minute demo.

According to the official rules, your submission must include a video demonstration of the application integrating a publicly available Gemini model via the Gemini API. The relevant section from the official rules states:

  • Maximum length of the video is 3 minutes. Minimum length of video is 30 seconds.
    • Video submissions exceeding 3 minutes, only the first 3 minutes will be judged.
    • Video submissions less than 30 seconds will be disqualified.

Streaming daily dev logs does not fulfill this requirement. The judges will only consider the specified 3-minute video demonstration for evaluation purposes. Any additional content, such as dev logs, will not be considered and will not provide any advantage or influence the judging process.

For your submission to be compliant, ensure that your main video submission is a standalone 3-minute demo of your app in action.
