I’m consistently getting a 503 Error when trying to generate images using the Nano Banana model in Gemini 3 Preview.
Even with short prompts and lower resolutions, the generation fails with the following message:
“This model is currently experiencing high demand. Spikes in demand are usually temporary. Please try again later.”
I understand this points to server capacity, but it has been happening constantly for me, making the tool almost unusable at the moment.
Is this a widespread issue today? I was wondering if others are seeing this “high demand” status as frequently as I am, or if there is a specific time of day when the service is more stable.
I’m experiencing the exact same issue.** > I am on the Tier 1 (Pay-as-you-go) plan, so I have active billing enabled, but it doesn’t seem to help with the 503 errors at all. Even with a paid account, the gemini-3-pro-image-preview model consistently returns “Service Unavailable” during peak hours.
For those of us trying to use this in a commercial/production environment, this instability is a huge blocker. Has anyone found if switching to Vertex AI (Google Cloud) provides a more stable endpoint for Nano Banana, or is the infrastructure-level capacity issue the same across both platforms?
