Can no longer connect to devcontainer after updating to v1.16.5

Quick update: the issue has not yet been solved. With the new release of v1.18.3 the problem still exists and the hack is working but quite ugly. I also realized that the post install will not work because the server hangs so the only work around so far is to manually create the sym link and then manually run the post create commands.l

Expect a bit better from @google support team. despite a clear cause and fix being given , if you are not fixing this in the next release, reflects quite poorly on your support

I hit this too; I’ve posted a detailed fix here: The devcontainer fails to attach after the 1.16.5 update on Ubuntu. The new 1.18.3 update also fails
