Can I use Python with FLET without affecting awards eligibility?

Hello,

Me and my team are interested in using Flutter, but instead of using the Dart language, I would like to use Python with a framework powered by Flutter, such as FLET.
Will this affect the eligibility of my submission for the award categories (such as Best Flutter app,…) in the competition?

According to the official rules, one of the submission requirements states:

“Optional: One or more of the following Google developer technologies may be used in conjunction with Gemini API: Flutter, Android, Chrome/Web, ARCore, or Firebase.”

However, there is no explicit mention in the official rules about the requirement to use the Dart language specifically when using Flutter. As long as you are using Flutter in some capacity, whether directly with Dart or through a framework like FLET that leverages Flutter, it should meet the criterion for using Flutter in conjunction with the Gemini API.

Therefore, using Python with a framework powered by Flutter, such as FLET, should not affect the eligibility of your submission for the award categories, including the Best Flutter app category. The primary concern is the integration and usage of the specified technologies, rather than the specific language used.

For definitive guidance, you can refer to the section titled “Submission requirements” in the official rules. You can find the official rules of the Gemini API Developer Competition on the competition website at 參加 Gemini API 開發人員競賽  |  Gemini API Developer Competition  |  Google for Developers.
