Since April 16, I have been actively noticing failures in Android Studio and Antigravity when using the code assistant with the Gemini Pro model — constant response errors with the process stuck on “Generating Response…” or the message: “Our servers are experiencing high traffic right now, please try again in a minute.”
At the same time, tokens are still being actively charged, while support has essentially been unresponsive since April 8 (two weeks). Judging by user comments on https://discuss.ai.google.dev/t/how-to-resolve-this-issue-our-servers-are-experiencing-high-traffic-right-now-please-try-again-in-a-minute/138443, complaints are being ignored. It raises the question of how much money people have already lost and how significant those losses are.
My own losses amount to €28, and in at least 80% of cases the Gemini API Pro model froze at the request stage itself, not even during the response.
