Critical bug v2.4.2: Persistent quota block using new AI Studio API Keys (AQ... format)

Hello Antigravity support team,

I am requesting that this case be escalated to a higher-level engineer, as I am experiencing a total service outage on the desktop application that forces me to constantly switch Gmail accounts in order to work.

Details of my environment:

  • Antigravity version: 2.4.2 (Native desktop application)
  • Operating System: Windows 11
  • Affected account: j...@gmail.com

Problem description:
I have updated my billing plan and generated a brand new API key in Google AI Studio. The key has the modern Google structure and starts with the prefix AQ.... Since it was created directly in AI Studio, the key already has the native Gemini API restrictions (according to the security policy).

I have correctly loaded this key into the config.json file at the path %APPDATA%\Antigravity under the geminiApiKey property. However, as soon as the base credits of the j..@gmail.com account are exhausted, the desktop client ignores the key completely. The visual interface locks the Pro models with the “Exhausted” padlock and does not automatically fall back to my personal billing.

The problem is not with the key or the environment variables. There is a flaw in the authentication logic of the desktop versions v2.4.2 and v2.0.11 of Antigravity, which does not correctly process the new AQ... paid key formats and invalidates the commercial balance I purchased.

I appreciate your prompt review of your backend connection logs to resolve this application bug.

Best regards, Jorge Pablo
