Both Antigravity IDE and 2.0 stuck after successful browser login: How to unlock and enter the IDE to use AI?

Core Question:

How can I resolve the onboarding blockage across Antigravity clients and successfully enter the Antigravity IDE to use the built-in Gemini Code Assist AI features? I need to use the AI capabilities inside the IDE, not bypass the sign-in.

Current Blocking Behavior:

  1. Antigravity IDE:

    • I click sign in, and the browser displays successful authentication ([ Google Antigravity Auth Success ]( Google Antigravity Auth Success )).

    • When switching back to the IDE setup wizard, it halts with the error:

"Your account is not eligible for Gemini Code Assist for individuals at this time"

    • The Next button remains permanently disabled and grayed out.

  2. Antigravity 2.0 Standalone:

    • Attempted to sign in here to clear any pending verification/QR check that the IDE might be waiting for.

    • The browser confirms authorization success, and navigating to settings (Ctrl+,) actually shows my Google avatar, email, and local project path.

    • However, returning to 2.0 leaves the application permanently stuck on the “Welcome to Antigravity” screen. No verification prompt, workspace transition, or QR code ever appears, and the interface does not proceed into a working state.

Account & Environment Details:

  • OS: Windows 11

  • Subscription: Active Google AI Premium (Pro) subscription on a personal @gmail.com account.

  • History: Both the IDE and AI code generation worked without issue yesterday, but became completely locked out today.

  • GCP Status: Checked Google Cloud Console; this personal Gmail has never activated or created any GCP project or organization.

Questions for the Team:

  1. Given that browser authentication succeeds on both clients and my Google AI Pro subscription is active, what is preventing the IDE from recognizing my individual entitlement and enabling the Next button?

  2. What specific verification or account status check is required to transition past the welcome screen so that Gemini Code Assist becomes usable in the IDE?

Hi @re123, Welcome to the Forum!

Please try these:

  1. Verify your sign-in. Go to myaccount.google.com → Security → Recent security activity. Confirm any recent sign-ins from this PC with “Yes, it was me” and complete any verification it asks for.
  2. Turn off VPNs and proxies. Disconnect any VPN, proxy or network-acceleration tool, and try a different network if you can, like a phone hotspot. Changing networks or regions often triggers this check.
  3. Check your account country. At policies.google.com/terms, make sure the country is one where Antigravity is available.
  4. Start fresh. Wait 15–30 minutes. Then fully close both Antigravity apps (check the system tray too), reopen just one, and sign in again.

If you’re still blocked after that, reply with your Antigravity version, your country, and whether you use a VPN or proxy. We’ll escalate it for a closer look.
