Billing on Gemini API keeps failing even with a valid paid billing Account

Hello Google team,

Requesting a manual billing sync for the known prepay/billing-sync bug.

Details:
Project name: Orderhub
Project ID: arched-shuttle-505110-..
Billing account: OrderHub
Billing account ID: 01296B-AC44AB-1D…
Model: gemini-3.5-flash

Status: Billing account is active and linked to the project (confirmed in Cloud Console — “Billing is enabled”). Free trial credit (₪898) is available and unused.

However, every generateContent / image generation API call returns:
429 RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED
“Your prepayment credits are depleted. Please go to AI Studio at https://ai.studio/projects to manage your project and billing.”

This has been ongoing for over 2 days despite the billing account being correctly funded and linked. This matches the known billing-sync bug reported by many other users in this forum.

Please advise or trigger a manual sync for this project.

Note: There is no manual billing sync process at our end.

Google Cloud Free Trial or promotional credits cannot be used on AI Studio Prepay while your AIS prepaid wallet balance is $0.00. To use your project arched-shuttle-50... linked to billing account 01296B-AC44AB-1D..., you must have an active prepaid balance.

Once you add the minimum prepayment deposit of $10 (or local equivalent) to your AIS prepaid wallet, eligible Google Cloud credits are consumed first before your prepaid balance is used.

Next steps:

  • Visit https://aistudio.google.com/billing and add the minimum prepayment balance to your project.
  • Retry your API requests once the balance is visible in your prepaid wallet.
  • If you still face issues, let us know.
