THE ANOMALY
Our Gemini API billing was consistently ₹100–₹2,000/day from May 1–21, 2026 — 12+ months of clean, predictable usage. Starting exactly May 22, charges spiked to ₹60,000–₹85,000/day with absolutely no change in our code, traffic, or deployments. Total anomalous charges: approximately ₹800,000 INR over 9 days.

WHY THIS IS NOT OUR USAGE
- Zero code deployments around May 22
- No traffic increase in our own application logs
- The spike is instantaneous — not a gradual ramp — inconsistent with organic growth
- Pattern is identical to documented May 2026 reports: forum threads #143661, #143572, #145370
- Our key has been in stable production for 12+ months — a sudden 40x spike is not organic

Siya.Design / heysiya.ai is a bootstrapped EdTech startup building an AI companion platform for schools in India under the makeindiaschoolsom organization. A ₹7L charge for 9 days — when our normal monthly spend is under ₹60,000 — is existentially damaging.
We have already disabled billing on the project to stop further charges.

- Full waiver of anomalous charges above our ₹2,000/day baseline
- Confirmation of root cause and that no further charges will be incurred
