I am on the pro plan and on Monday 13th in the evening I hit my quota limits.
While waiting a few hours for a refresh is not too bad, I am on a 5 day wait.

I seem to have a few good says with progress with my project, and then I hit a wall.
Not sure how much I can plan my time around this and a prompt had generated an image and not code as I had asked it to.
+1 to this. I am facing the exact same issue on my account.
I am on the Google AI Pro plan (via Family Sharing), and my IDE explicitly acknowledges this by prompting me to upgrade to “Google AI Ultra” to get higher rate limits. However, instead of a standard 5-hour rolling refresh cycle, the system has thrown me into a multi-day lockout.
My terminal states:
“Your plan’s baseline quota will refresh on 7/17/2026, 6:50:16 PM.”
It seems the backend logic for Pro family members is completely bugged and defaulting to a strict weekly free-tier lockout period instead of the rolling Pro limits. Hoping the team can look into this account glitch soon!
did you use all of your Weekly quota??
Also, are you using multiple agents and always using 3.5 flash (High) etc
Not trying to downgrade your concerns… just wondering about your usage etc I’m on the same plan as you and my weekly has only ever gotten down to like 80%.. I’m not using it constantly every day though

The wall you hit is the weekly limit. After using up a few of the short quotas and waiting, you suddenly get hit with the bigger timeout. I don’t even know why they still have gemini 3.1pro because it’s completely awful.
