I’m on the Google AI Pro plan, and the quota management is completely messed up right now. I have the screenshots to prove it:
Look at the attached images. The IDE UI explicitly promised my Gemini 3.1 Pro quota was going to reset today, March 13th, at 9:24 AM. I did exactly what I was supposed to do. I stopped working, closed everything down, and waited.
Guess what happened today at 9:24 AM? Instead of giving me my tokens back, the timer hit zero and instantly slapped me with a brand new “6 days, 23 hours” hard lockout. It just moved the goalposts entirely.
To make the whole thing worse, my Claude models are draining while the IDE is completely shut down. I was doing some simple front-end work two days ago, and shut down the IDE when the quota was at 40%, and left it. When I opened it back up tomorrow, the whole quota was burned to 100%.
It is incredibly frustrating to pay for a Pro tier just to get locked out. Are people still getting hit with these 7-day macro lockouts, or am I just the unlucky one here?
