Hi All,
Can someone help me here. Im on a Windows device and ran “winget upgrade --all” to update the apps on my device to their latest versions. winget finished successfully but after doing so Antigravity will not load for love nor money. I have uninstalled antigravity and manually deleted all the registry keys and files I could find but still it wont run. when you click the app it shows the window briefly and then vanishes. There is no process running and the log that’s created doesn’t seem to indicate any error or issue. Can someone give some guidance on this or is there a complete list of files/registry keys which are installed when the application is installed/run. What would be even better would be an Antigravity cleanup tool but im assuming that doesnt exist. All of the other posts I have found about this have not resolved the issue so currently im at a loss.
Any help would be amazing
Ok so I have had some progress with this for those that may also encounter it. To get the application to load i have to add --no-sandbox to the command when running it. it appears because the Chromium Renderer Sandbox in this Electron 41 build fails when initializing the sandboxed child processes.
Im assuming that this is a bug and a patch will need to be applied to fix it. for now though at least I can get it running.
Hi @Shaun_Jennison,
Welcome to the Forum,
Thank you for sharing excellent debugging finding the --no-sandbox workaround!
So you don’t have to launch it from the command prompt every time, you can attach that flag directly to your Windows shortcut for daily use:
- Right-click your Antigravity Desktop or Start Menu shortcut and select Properties.
- In the Shortcut tab, locate the Target field.
- Add a space at the very end of the path, followed by
--no-sandbox. (It should look something like: "C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\Programs\Antigravity\Antigravity.exe" --no-sandbox)
- Click Apply and OK
