Hello, I have a Google AI Pro subscription, as per the plan description, my quotas should refresh every 5 hours, but currently, it blocks me for 5 days. This has happened three times in a row. I can use Antigravity for a few hours, then I should wait 5 days.

Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your concern with us. To help resolve the issue with your AI Pro quotas, please review the following checklist:

1. **Age Verification:** You may need to verify your age to unlock increased quotas. You can complete this process at the following link: **[https://myaccount.google.com/age-verification](https://www.google.com/url?sa=E&q=https%3A%2F%2Fmyaccount.google.com%2Fage-verification)**.

2. **Regional Availability:** Please note that upgraded quotas through Google One are not currently available in all locations. We recommend referring to the full list of supported regions [here](https://antigravity.google/docs/faq) to confirm availability in your area.

3. **Account Status:** Please ensure you are signed in with the correct Google Account associated with your Pro subscription. You can verify this by opening the **Settings** menu in Antigravity and clicking on **Account** in the left-hand sidebar. If the wrong account is listed, simply click **Sign out** and log back in with the correct credentials.

I was directed to post in this thread by Google One Support after reporting a massive quota lockout. They acknowledged this is a “common issue” they are unable to resolve on the support side.

**The Issue:** I am a Google AI Pro subscriber primarily using Antigravity. Despite the advertised 5-hour reset cycle, I am currently locked out of **Claude Sonnet 4.5 (Thinking)** for over **29 hours**.

- **Current Date:** Jan 21, ~4:30 PM

- **Reset Time:** Jan 22, 6:46 PM

- **Error Message:** “You have reached the quota limit for Claude Sonnet 4.5 (Thinking)… You can upgrade to the Google AI Ultra plan…”

**Official Explanation from Support:** When I challenged the 5-hour reset rule, the support agent (Melody) provided this explanation regarding the discrepancy:

> “Limits are enforced using rolling usage windows and shared capacity rules… Because of this, a cooldown can occasionally extend beyond the typical few hours and show a longer resume time like the one you’re seeing now… The reset time shown in your tool is the authoritative one.”

**Feedback:** As a developer using this tool for regular work, this hidden “rolling window” logic feels like a trap. We rely on the transparency of the advertised 5-hour reset. If heavy models like Claude Sonnet 4.5 have a completely different set of “Weekly/Rolling” rules that trigger multi-day lockouts, this needs to be explicitly stated in the UI or the Plan details, not discovered via a support ticket after the workflow is broken.

I’m experiencing an issue where my quota hasn’t refreshed after the initial three-day period; instead, the lockout has extended by another seven days. I suspect the system is allowing token balances to drop into the negative during periods of instability. This seems to be causing a prolonged ban that won’t lift until the balance theoretically returns to a positive value

I think you are right and it’s a bug. I had 20% opus quota left, gave it a task to make some doc file and probably went negative(not my fault or intention) and got banned 6 days. I don’t expect opus to run all day but at least a few prompts per day for planning.

Even if the negative quota is the reason for this exhaustion (Which I don’t think is the case since I’ve got banned without using it at all), it happened because of their sloppy implementation. They have no right to ban people for weeks instead of compensating third companies themselves.

I’m on the Google 1 AI Ultra subscription, and I’m running into a really frustrating quota issue that seems to match what others have reported: Ultra/Pro are advertised as having quotas that refresh every ~5 hours, but my account keeps getting hit with \*multi-day\* lockouts (typically 4–7+ days). What’s confusing is that this happens even when I’m not doing anything close to what I’d consider heavy usage.

A few reasons this is a big problem:

\* I’m paying for Ultra, but my account is behaving like it’s on a much lower tier.

\* The 5-hour refresh cycle is part of the plan benefits as it’s presented.

\* These long cooldowns completely break real workflows (coding/debugging/testing), because I can’t reliably plan around them.

\* The behavior feels inconsistent and opaque I can’t tell what triggered it, or when it will actually clear.

So far I’ve tried the obvious stuff:

\* Signed out/in

\* Confirmed the subscription is active

\* Verified age/identity on my Google account

\* Tried different models …and it still happens, with cooldowns stretching way past 5 hours even without heavy/agent-style use.

Can you please clarify:

1. Is this a known bug or quota-management issue?

2. Are Ultra users \*actually\* intended to get consistent ~5-hour refreshes in practice?

3. If the multi-day lockouts are intentional (internal policy / risk controls / whatever), can that be reflected clearly in the UI and documentation? Right now it feels like something you only discover after you’re suddenly locked out for a week.

This is impacting serious technical work, so I’d really appreciate transparency on what’s going on and whether there’s a fix.

Is it my feeling that using Gemini 3 Pro as a debug helper is more of a hindrance than a help?
Comparing this with Claude is like comparing a junior with a senior developer….
It decides to delete code, files for no reason and then…. “ i am sorry , i will build a new one”…

Here’s what I noticed so far: backhand_index_pointing_right It might be important to NOT run the usage down to 0%. During my last tests, my quota reset back to 100% after ~5 hours when I still had around 40–60% remaining. This has now worked 3 times in a row for…

Thank you for your patience as we manage the high demand for our services.
As we balance giving the best possible quotas and maintaining fairness between users, especially under incredible demand, we’ve established weekly limits for all models. These limits do not apply to Google AI Ultra, which continues to be the best plan for power developers! See [https://antigravity.google/docs/plans](https://antigravity.google/docs/plans) for the latest.
