Antigravity IDE keeps on hanging is there a solution

Please try the following steps to resolve the hanging issue in Antigravity IDE:

  • 1. Update to the Latest Version (v2.5.5): Ensure you are running the latest version of Antigravity IDE (v2.5.5) from the Download page (see the Changelog for recent stability fixes).
  • 2. If the Agent / Chat Thread Is Hanging: A long-running conversation can occasionally get stuck due to context size or internal processing errors. Try starting a new chat thread or restarting the language server via Ctrl+Shift+P (Cmd+Shift+P on macOS) → Antigravity: Restart Language Server.
  • 3. If the Entire IDE Window Is Freezing (“Window Not Responding”): Completely quit Antigravity IDE (end all remaining processes in Task Manager / Activity Monitor) and relaunch it from the terminal with GPU acceleration disabled (--disable-gpu) to rule out a GPU renderer freeze. If the freeze still occurs, clear the local cache folder (%APPDATA%\Antigravity and %LOCALAPPDATA%\Antigravity on Windows, or ~/Library/Application Support/Antigravity on macOS) and restart the IDE.

If the issue persists, please share your OS, Antigravity IDE version, what task or action triggers the hang, and either your diagnostic logs in a .txt file (from Help > Toggle Developer Tools > Console or View > Output > Antigravity Language Server) or an error screenshot so we can investigate further.
