I don’t understand what’s happening with the new IDE, but it’s so slow and regularly hangs after a few minutes of use. I always have to close and restart the app, and can only do so through the Task Manager. Why does every update seem to break the app most of the time?
If you are on macos there is a known memory leak. I recommend you to use Agent Managet or Agy, they are far better + VSCode (or any other IDE).
Hello @seaheachxv,
Can you update the software to the latest release, version 2.0.10?
If the IDE remains slow and laggy after the update, can you provide more details that can help up reproduce and investigate
- System specification like CPU, GPU, and RAM capacity of the computer
- What specific OS and version are you running
- Does the slowness happen continuously on startup, or does it trigger during a specific activity like large file indexing, running terminal commands, or using an AI model chat
- Are you experiencing this delay across all directories, or is it isolated to a repository with a high number of tracked files or virtual environments
It happens after I work for a like 25-30 minutes… The whole app hangs, and I have to use Task Manager to close and reopen the app. It happens when I’m scrolling through code, navigating pages, or even trying to type on the Agent window… I’ll give the latest update a go, v2.0.4. I am not using Antigravity 2.0.
I will still be using the Antigravity IDE until I can start writing code on the newer agent-oriented version released at I/O
I’m on Win 11, and run on an AMD 8700G, RTX 4070 12GB and 32GB RAM.
