Like many here, I am getting 429s when using Antigravity e.g.
Error: RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED (code 429): Resource exhausted. Please try again later. Please refer to Error code 429 | Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform | Google Cloud Documentation for more details.
This is on an enterprise PayGo plan. I believe that there is an option with the cloud services to use a priority PayGo for cloud services, and this can be enabled by adding headers to the HTTP requests. There doesn;t seem to be any way to do this without using some whacky proxy to insert these - is that really true, and is there a better way to avoid these errors ?
Hi @Bruce_Jackson,
Good news: you don’t need a proxy. Antigravity supports Priority PayGo out of the box.
-
Update to the latest version.
-
Open
~/.gemini/config/config.json(on Windows:%USERPROFILE%\.gemini\config\config.json) and add:{ "userSettings": { "vertexServiceTier": "priority" } } -
Restart Antigravity fully.
A few other things that help with 429s:
- Switch to the Global endpoint in Settings → Account → Manage, if your data residency rules allow it.
- Check your Cloud project for any Vertex AI quota limits.
- Use Flash for routine tasks and run fewer agents at once.
