Antigravity does not launch on Windows after fresh installation

Hi Antigravity team,

Antigravity is completely failing to launch on my Windows PC.

When I click the Antigravity icon, nothing appears. There is no window or error message, and the process exits immediately.

I have already:

  • Completely uninstalled Antigravity.
  • Removed the remaining installation folders and application data.
  • Reinstalled Antigravity from scratch.
  • Tried launching the executable directly through PowerShell.

The issue remains exactly the same after a completely fresh installation.

My current Antigravity version is 2.15.1.

I previously had an older Antigravity IDE installation, but I removed it before performing the fresh installation.

Could you please advise what could cause Antigravity to immediately terminate without displaying any UI, and what diagnostic steps I should try?

Thanks!

Hi @Tanuj_Pargai

Could you please follow these steps:

  • Rename the folder %USERPROFILE%\.gemini to .gemini-old. It often survives an uninstall, and leftover files from the old IDE can stop the app from starting.
  • Restart your PC, or end any leftover Antigravity processes in Task Manager.
  • Launch it from PowerShell with --disable-gpu. If that works, update your graphics drivers.
  • Check that your antivirus hasn’t blocked or quarantined any Antigravity files.

Let me know, is the issue resolves or the issue still persists!
